01Hit blots and find your way home
In classic backgammon, players move in opposite directions. A point occupied by two or more opposing checkers is blocked; a single opposing checker can be hit onto the bar. You must enter all your checkers from the bar before moving other checkers.
02Every die counts
Use both dice whenever possible. Doubles give four moves. If only one of two different dice can be played, you must use the higher one. Bearing off begins when all your checkers are in your home board.
03Single wins, gammons and backgammons
Be the first to bear off all fifteen checkers. A single win scores one point, a gammon two and a backgammon three. Before rolling, the doubling cube lets you offer to increase the game value; your opponent has 20 seconds to respond.
