In long backgammon (Narde), checkers move from the head in the same direction, without hitting or a bar. Plan your blocks and your journey home. NARDIKA offers free browser play with a timer and a doubling cube. The game’s key differences are explained on its dedicated page.

Create a two-player online game and send the invitation link to a friend. Play on different devices — for example, a computer and a phone. No account is needed for invitation games. If you are together, choose two players on one device.

Practise with the computer: legal-move highlights show your options, and one-tap moves make play quicker. Games against the computer and on one device require no registration. All you need is a modern browser.
Your account, avatar and game coins
An account keeps your online match history, wins and profile. Sign in with Google or email, choose an avatar or upload a photo, and receive 1000 free game coins. Two verified players stake 10 coins each; an accepted double increases the stake. The winner receives the pot minus a 10% fee. Coins cannot be bought, cashed out or exchanged for money.
A comfortable board and fair online play
Light and dark themes, animated dice, smooth checker moves, sound, legal-move highlights and auto-confirm make play comfortable on small and large screens. The server determines rolls, players see each other’s moves in real time, and the game reconnects after brief connection losses.

Is backgammon online free?
Yes. No purchase is required. Guest games with friends, computer games and shared-device play need no account. Internal coins are free and cannot be exchanged for money.
How do I play with a friend online?
Open the board, choose classic or long backgammon and Friend online. Create the match, copy the invitation and send it to your friend. Once connected, each player rolls an opening die.
Can two people play on the same device?
Yes. Choose Two players on one device and take turns. This mode requires neither registration nor a connection to the game server.
Does it work on a phone?
Yes. Open the site in a mobile browser. The board adapts to screen width, checkers respond to touch, and sound and animation preferences are saved.
Should I choose classic or long backgammon?
Classic backgammon includes hitting and a bar. In long backgammon both players start on the head and build positions without hitting. Start with either variant; move hints help you learn.
Can I find a random opponent?
Yes. Sign in to a verified account and choose Random opponent. Classic and long backgammon have separate queues with a universal 20/60 timer. A game requires at least 10 coins; searching does not spend them.
